The mission of myOLOA is to provide a way for the people of the Pacific islands to connect for a wide variety of purposes, while celebrating our Oceanic way of life. These connections help us address daily challenges and improve the quality of life for the 9 million people living across the coral atolls and volcanic islands we call home.
Regionalized for the unique geographic, cultural and logistics challenges of the 21 island nation countries and territories of Oceania, myOLOA wishes to help promote and sustain the arts, traditions, ceremonies and languages threatened by Westernization and other influences. Our platform is available for everyone to use, including the artists, linguists, anthropologists, historians, museums, universities, research organizations, and dance groups who engage in scholarly study and preservation of historical records of our unique island way of life.
